Today is International Children’s Book day. . . .
When I was 6 a Librarian gave me books, but only a small part of what I wanted. Because I lived very far away and I was a thin and small girl. But I had a bicycle!

I grew up with authors and their heroes who helped me to be a Human. When someone asked me the classic question “Who do you want to be?” I answered very bravely: “I want to be a teacher!” then “I want to create cartoons!” I think some part of that was realized 🙂
But Life, again and again, brings me back to books. . . .

And it was really a startup because I wanted to create, but not what the publisher’s marketing plan wanted, but what the heart wants to say. . . . So, I learned Photoshop and Indesign (oh, they are so complicated guys), using different surfaces for illustrations, and learned on my own by “oops” lessons. My lovely husband Joff, with his amazing wisdom and patience, supports all my crazy-enthusiastic activities including “One more thing” every day-night. . . .

Today we published our first book in Polish and German. Then there will be more books on other languages. We have published 15 fairy tale books in 8 languages, and they keep growing. . . . We really need a bigger team for publishing 🙂

Each book is a part of Life. . . . And each book has something that we can bring to our Life and improve what we have. I believe a good story supports the Light in the heart that everyone has,
and Children’s hearts open and look for magic happy news about our World. . . .
Happy International Children’s Book day!
With love, Olga
