Happy Birth Day!

“When I was 6, a Librarian gave me books, but only a small part of what I wanted. Because I lived very far away and I was thin and small. . . but I had a bicycle!

I grew up with authors and their heroes who helped me to be a Human. When someone asked me the classic question “What do you want to be?” I answered very bravely: “I want to be a teacher!” then “I want to create cartoons!” But Life, again and again, brings me back to books. . . .

And it was really a start-up because I wanted to create, not what the publisher’s marketing plan wanted, but what my heart wants to say. . . . So, I learned Photoshop and InDesign (oh, they are so complicated guys), using different surfaces for illustrations, and learned on my own by “oops” lessons. My lovely husband Joff, with his amazing wisdom and patience, supports all my enthusiastic activities including “One more thing” every day-night. . . .

Each book is a part of Life. . . . And each book has something that we can bring to our Life and improve what we have. I believe a good story supports the Light in the heart that everyone has, and children’s hearts open and look for magic happy news about our World. . . .”

These words I wrote a couple years ago. I remember them because today is a special day 🙂 It is the Happy Birthday of our Publishing House and 7 years since the first book was published.

Today there are more than 70 of them in 10 languages ​​and readers from more than 80 countries. And more new books ahead, waiting to fly out into the world. For us, each book is valuable not in quantity, but in quality: WHAT you create and WHY.

Each book and each story in it, is its own story with many amazing meetings with heroes and readers. And now, as I write these lines, there are brushes, paints, pencils and sheets of paper for new illustrations on the table. There are many new books ahead. Happy to create for you!
