- Practice “Beauty of Light”
- Why: developing Synthesis skills
- What: Seeing Light through our own activity
- Who: About the main participant
- How: The best creates the best
- Value of the practice
- And one more 😊 – the Master Practice
This practice opens a new series of 12 practices, which is a part of the second book that will be published soon. However, unlike the previous newsletters, the part “And one more 😊” in each newsletter will contain another practice for those who are read these newsletters and want to use them in their own activities.
The idea of combining essentially two practices together also comes from experience. Because a teacher, manager, or specialist in any field, acting as a facilitator, needs resilience and flexibility in different spheres of their own activities that also require life resources and skills. Therefore, when a facilitator conveys knowledge to participants and supports them to develop useful skills, and at the same time develop their own self, it is great for both sides. We share what we have within. Welcome to the practice!
Olga and Conscious Creativity Team 😊
Practice “Beauty of Light”
The practice task is to see the Beauty of Nature through plants striving towards light, and to support Beauty within by developing Synthesis skills through art creativity.
This practice is best done in Nature. This could be a botanical garden, a park, or Nature trip. If this is not possible, let the plants growing indoors be your helpers. The images of plants can also be your assistants.
Practice time is 45 minutes. Participants are children and adults of all ages: from a quietly sleeping baby in a stroller, inspiring their parents, to . . . without limitations 🙂 Materials for the practice: colored pencils, paints, and white sheets of A4 paper. And as in all practices, there are important conditions:
- no competition: “who is faster or who creates a better”
- no hints or instructions like: “look to the right, then to the left”
- all sources of color are based on the colors of Nature.
- also, colored pencils or pants are better than markers because they can create different colorful shades.
Ask the participants to attentively look at the plants and find something in them that shows their striving towards the light. Then, have them draw the plant on their sheet of paper and draw the Sun. Even if we don’t see the Sun in the sky at this moment, it doesn’t mean it’s not there 🙂 Light is always everywhere. It’s important to learn to see it everywhere.
When the drawings are ready, have the participants indicate the sunlight falling on their plant with thin lines. Let the example drawing below help you with this. The task of the facilitator is to support the participants to see the light themselves and depict it on the sheet of paper.
When the participants have finished their work, organize an exhibition with a title about light, for example “The Beauty of Light”
Perhaps you will want to embark on a new journey together with sunlight. Let the art technique that I use in my paintings and illustrations help you with this. You will find it in the resources at the end of this newsletter, but now let’s summarize the practice, following the Systemic Thinking questions Why-What-Who-How that we are already familiar with from previous newsletters.
Why: developing skills of Synthesis
This practice helps to develop the skills of observation and choosing the best.
- Observation is a necessary condition for Synthesis
Synthesis is the basis of improvement. Improvement is based on quality and is the basis of the process of evolution. Evolution is the foundation of the process of Life.
- Choosing the best is the basis of aspiration to the best, by best qualities
Following the wisdom of the words by the great Ancient Greek philosopher from Elea, Parmenides: “Nothing comes from nowhere” (lat. “ex nihilo nihil fit”), we can say that the quality of the ingredients defines the quality of the result. (resources *)
Parmenides’ philosophical concept was then developed by great thinkers of different ages and countries, creating the fundamental laws in physics, mathematics, chemistry, philosophy, uniting natural science and humanitarian spheres of activities. With their aspiration to support the development of Humanity, they created the best results as a foundation of our current activities. Our responsibility is how to use these results based on our aspiration and choice.
- The quality of aspiration is the foundation of choice, defining the quality of the result
The quality of choice starts with recognizing what is the best and what is not. The quality of thinking is based on the quality of choice. Aspiration to light, where light is the Force of Life that is reflected in the Beauty of Nature, brings the same result. And where there is no light, that is what we can improve.
- Consciousness is based on the high-quality choice way of cognizing the World
This way unites Knowledge with Beauty by unity of natural science and humanitarian ways. Education has two wings: Knowledge and Beauty. We can rise in Evolution together with Nature when we have two wings.
When we adults help ourselves and our children to see Beauty, we create based on Knowledge and Beauty. We are people and we create. And we can improve what we have today by developing the skills of Synthesis. This is why this practice makes sense. And this is the response to the first question “Why?” 🙂
What: Seeing Light through our own activity
What is the result of this practice? Developing the skills to see Beauty of Light in the Beauty of Nature. And the result of the practice will also be a unique picture in which each of us has seen the light by ourselves.
Nature knows where the light is. . . . We humans are a part of Nature and active participants in its processes, as well as the processes of Life. However, sometimes we forget that the Sun, as a source of light, is always here even if we don’t see the Sun in the sky. When we draw, we see it more brightly. And let our “adult” picture look like a child’s, this is the most valuable picture. . . . Find the best place for your art – that is the Light.
Beauty has one mirror in our hearts. This magic mirror helps us to see Light through our own activity. This is the response to the first question: “What is the result of this practice?” And the beautiful unique arts, of course 🙂
Who: About the main participant
Seeing Light is one step, and the next step is the decision to act providing the Beauty of Light through our own activity. This practice unites two steps. The Beauty of Light can be seen by whoever has light. Our hearts can see light, and can share light in our creation, because the heart knows what light means. We all have these hearts.
The heart inspires us for the best aspiration, supporting the best choice, and helps to make these steps. The basis of this decision is our responsibility: “I myself create my life and I take responsibility for what and why I create.” Why is this so important? We can develop and improve what is always with us – ourselves 🙂
So, the main participant in this practice is the Heart. And this is the response to the question: “Who is the participant in this practice?”
Seeing and providing the Beauty of Light, through the Beauty of Nature, we see and support Light of Beauty in each other. May the Stages of Synthesis, and the Principles of Conscious Creativity, be a support in this.
Stages of Synthesis:
- Cognition
- Comprehension
- Acceptance for action
- Actions
Principles of Conscious Creativity
- Freedom of Choice through Responsibility – I always create my life, and I always have responsibility for What and Why I create.
- Independence through Unity – I always create the best for myself, together with people for people.
- Tolerance through Respect – I am always unique, and everyone is, and I always have my talents as everyone has.
- Activity through Improvement – I can share with others what I have, and I always can improve everything that I have.
How: The best creates the best
Seeing and providing Beauty of Light in unity with Beauty of Nature, we develop a focus on aspiration based on the choice of best feelings, which is the foundation of thinking. The Quality of Thinking determines the result.
When our thinking is directed towards the best based on a conscious choice of the best feelings, then the result will be the same. Feelings-Thought-Action-Result. We talked about what are the best feelings, and how they determine the quality of thinking, in previous newsletters.
“But can you briefly summarize what the best feelings are in this newsletter, so I don’t have to look for the answer in the previous newsletters?” you might ask. Yes. The best feelings are love, care for others, joy, generosity, and other best quality feelings based on moral values that give to us the right to be a Human being.
“Oh, this is a big process!” someone may say. Yes, it is. This process continues throughout all our lives. In addition, observation and the ability to choose the best, combined with education, unite Mind and Heart as Knowledge and Beauty.
“Well in my case, and especially in my circumstances, complicated by other circumstances, taking into account the current situation, it is a too complicated process . . .”, someone might say. Yes, every one of us has our own life cases. However, . . . Just look around. HOW strongly plants reach for the Light even in this time can be no bright visible Sun on the sky. Nature knows where Light is. . . .
Let’s share Light with our own drawings! Let’s give the ability to the amazing Artist who looks around with admiring eyes. . . . Whoever wants to draw it, even if Mr. Mind tells him, “Oh no! It is not so good for you!” or “You are not good for that!” So, help your Artist in this. This Artist is always very close, in the heart of each of us, and the Artist from the Heart knows how beautiful the Light is. If Heart knows it, we can do it.
So, this is the response to the question “How” – “How can I achieve the result of this practice?” “Wait, I have more ‘How’”, Mr. Mind can say. For example: “How will the results of this practice be useful in life?” Well, it is what we are talking about: “The best creates the best” 🙂
“Oh, this is really too complicated a practice!” someone might say again. “And how can a small child cope with it?” Well, our children are sometimes ‘older’ than we adults and we adults can be as children. When we decide for others, we deprive them of the opportunity to decide for themselves. And then just look at children’s drawings. They know how to be friends with their Artist who looks at the World with admiring eyes.
And also, the facilitator’s inspiration supports the inspiration of participants.
Value of the practice “Beauty of Light”
Support the development of Consciousness by Synthesis, uniting Heart with Mind:
– The harmonious development of Consciousness is the development of the Culture of Thinking. – Culture is a necessary part in our Evolution based on unity with Nature, and the balance of the inner world and the outer world. – This process is reflected in all spheres of our life by creating a bridge between heart and mind as the foundation for Consciousness, and the bridge to our future.
Green Transition transforms all spheres of life by technological, geo-economic, and demographic changes based on the transformation of Consciousness, developing our Ecology Culture by the Culture of Thinking. (resources *) Economy and Ecology have one root “Eco” which means our Home, Earth, where we live.
I hope this practice, together with other Conscious Creativity resources, will be useful for your activity. And below is “one more thing :)” The first practice for facilitators that I mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter. Let’s name these practices as they will be used in all subsequent newsletters: “Master Practice”. Why? Because a Master is someone who learns, has achieved something that they can share with others, and continues to improve what they have achieved. Welcome!
And one more 😊 “Master Practice”
1. Take a sheet of A4 paper and draw a vertical line on it, then add an arrow pointing upwards. Draw a horizontal line at the bottom – this represents “today”. Like this:

2. Place this picture wherever you like, for example like this:

or like this:

or like this:

or like this:

3. What’s next?
When something comes into our lives, and we feel “not so good,” remember or look at this drawing. The upward arrow represents your aspiration towards the Light, and what exists today can always be improved by thinking not about what was, but about what we are creating and knowing where we are going.
Nature knows where the Light is, and even if there are sometimes obstacles on the path of growth and development, Nature will always find a way to the Light simply because Light is the foundation of Life. And because our Force of Life is unity with aspiration. This is the very formula of Newton that we talked about in previous newsletters. (#2, #5)
Newton’s and Descartes’ formulas help us understand where our life energy is directed. F = m x a, where F is force, m is mass, and a is acceleration. (resources *) If m is Thought and a is Aspiration, they determine our F Life Force, where each of us determines the direction of our life force through aspiration. Force (F) is the result of the unity of Thought (m) and Aspiration (a).
Aspiration comes from feelings that are born in the heart and thought comes from activities of the mind. This is Aristotle’s Golden Mean. (resources*)
Feelings-Thought-Action-Result
We have force by building the Heart-Mind bridge. If we lose connection with the heart, we lose connection with the mind because even if our m is very big, but if our a=0 our F=0 😊.
Nature strives towards Light, and this aspiration gives it the Power of Life. May the fairy tale from the “Happy Home Fairy Tale newsletter” inspire you and “Beauty of Light” participants 🙂
“. . . In the unexpected silence, everyone heard the quiet voice of Chamomile. “Loves me–loves me not . . . loves! Loves!” she repeated happily. Spreading her whitish petals and closing her eyes, Chamomile smiled joyfully and stretched her bright head towards the blue Sky. She opened her face to the gentle sunrays and whispered gratefully, “Thank you, Sun!”. . . ” (“Happy Home Fairy Tales for children and adults” book – https://olgaverasen.com/happy-home-fairy-tales-eng/#chamomile-and-love )
And this fairy tale is for you 🙂
“. . . Countless little hats broke away from Dandelion’s head and rose into the air. Dozens of celestial travelers, each of whom Dandelion gave his own wings, were able to make his cherished dream come true. They . . . flew away! Thin modest fluffy parachutes carried with them seeds, that most precious of treasures, the continuation of life on Earth. Another masterpiece of Nature, her little creations, in which is all Wisdom and Beauty of the World. . . .” (“Happy Home Fairy Tales for children and adults” book – https://olgaverasen.com/happy-home-fairy-tales-eng/#dandelion-dream )
